An estate-wide fumigation programme planned around residents, covering apartments, common areas and drainage.

Residents of an apartment estate were reporting cockroaches and rodents, and treating individual units on request was not solving the problem.

Pests were moving between apartments, bin stores and drainage, so isolated treatments only pushed them from one unit to the next. Any estate-wide programme had to account for families, children and pets, and keep disruption to residents to a minimum.

We inspected the estate with the management team to find where pests were nesting and how they were moving, then planned a single coordinated programme instead of piecemeal call-outs.

Treatment was carried out block by block on pre-announced days, with residents given clear guidance on preparing their units and on when it was safe to return.

Common areas, bin stores and drainage points were treated at the same time so that pests had nowhere to retreat to, and the estate management received recommendations on hygiene and waste handling to help keep the problem from returning, along with the option of scheduled follow-up treatments.
