§1 About This Policy

This page explains how In House Kenya Solutions Ltd ("Inhouse Kenya", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal data, and sets out the terms that apply when you use our website.

We are a facility-services company based at Pergola Flat, Suite P8, Milimani Road, Nairobi, Kenya. We handle personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya and its regulations. For the purposes of that Act, Inhouse Kenya is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

By using our website or sending us an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use.

§2 Information We Collect

We only collect the personal data we need to respond to you and provide our services. This may include:

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address and phone number.
  • Enquiry details, such as the service you are interested in (for example waste management, fumigation, cleaning, electrical works, civil and building works, labour services or general supplies), the location of your property and any other information you include in a message.
  • Service records where you become a client, such as site addresses, access arrangements, quotations, invoices and correspondence.
  • Technical information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, which helps us keep the site secure and working properly.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not include it in your messages.

§3 How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiries and prepare quotations;
  • plan, deliver and follow up on the services you request;
  • manage billing, payments and our business records;
  • keep our website secure and improve how it works; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate business interests, as permitted by the Data Protection Act, 2019. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

§4 Sharing & Keeping Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only where necessary with:

  • staff and contractors who help us deliver the services you have requested;
  • service providers who support our business, such as email, hosting and IT providers, who must keep your data confidential and secure; and
  • government agencies, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where the law requires us to.

Some of our service providers may store data outside Kenya. Where this happens, we take steps to make sure your data is protected as required by the Data Protection Act, 2019.

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires, and then delete or anonymise it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

§5 Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:

  • be informed of how your personal data is used;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • object to the processing of all or part of your personal data;
  • have inaccurate or misleading data corrected; and
  • have false or misleading data deleted.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) in Kenya.

§6 Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, for example to keep forms secure and remember your session. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the website, such as the contact form, may not work properly if essential cookies are disabled.
