An office floor was running on ageing wiring that could no longer keep up with the equipment and number of people using it.

Breakers tripped regularly, extension leads ran across walkways and several areas were poorly lit. The client needed the floor brought up to standard without closing the office or interrupting day-to-day work.

We surveyed the existing installation, agreed the new layout with the client and planned the works in zones so that most of the floor stayed in use at all times.

The floor was rewired zone by zone, with new distribution, dedicated circuits for workstations and equipment, additional sockets where staff actually sit, and upgraded lighting in the open-plan and meeting areas.

Each zone was tested before being handed back, and the client received updated circuit labelling and a clear record of the work. Our cleaning team finished each zone so staff returned to a tidy workspace the next morning.
